St. Louis music photographer Tim Bottchen has eternalized the complex process of constructing a Daft Punk helmet par excellence through a captivating photo diary.

Documenting the work of Greg Santacruz crafting a seemingly flawless DIY replica of Thomas Bangalter's legendary mask, Bottchen dives into the technical intricacy and little bits and pieces that come together to make a robot head light up and say "hello."
