Caribou, Pendulum and Avicii booked for Ultra Music Festival 2016

EDM superstars will mingle with more underground heroes on this year's lineup.

Miami's Ultra Music Festival has announced its 2016 lineup. While the list of headliners isn't exactly surprising, it does hint at an increasingly diverse curatorial sense on the part of organizers. Yes, the standard EDM superstars are all there: Avicii, Kaskade, David Guetta, Afrojack (still?) and legendary drum and bass group Pendulum, who have re-united for the event.

But there are a number of Ibiza tech-house favorites as well: Dubfire, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola and Seth Troxler. Carl Cox—who has had his own stage at the festival for years now—will make his return. Techno punisher Joseph Capriati is in the mix as well.

Ultra also threw a couple of curveballs this year. Pioneering '90s electronica group Rabbit in the Moon will re-unite for the festival, playing their first live show in five years. Prodigy will also play live. Caribou—AKA Daniel Snaith, also known as Daphni—is among the headliners as well, as is progressive prince Eric Prydz, Ghostly International act Tycho, and tropical house dude Kygo. Yes, of course, Tiesto will be there too, as will Armin Van Buuren. Don't freak out.
