When we got a chance to sit down with George Romero the other day to talk about his film career, zombies, and the ongoing presentation of Night of the Living Dead Live in Toronto, our answer was: "Yes, of course. How soon can we get there? And can we hug him after?"
What ended up happening was this comprehensive sit-down interview with Mr. Romero who shared his stories about the difficulties of getting Night of the Living Dead funded and released, and how it became "a black film" after the assassination of Martin Luther King.
