Watch Trump's Lawyer Address James Comey's Senate Hearing

Marc Kasowitz is slated to deliver a statement on behalf of the president following the ex-FBI director's public testimony.

President Trump's outside lawyer Marc Kasowitz is slated to deliver remarks following former FBI director James Comey's Thursday Senate hearing in which he testified about many of the private interactions he had with the president before he was fired in May.

Prior to Comey's testimony, Kasowitz released a statement reiterating that the president was pleased that the former FBI director would reassure the public that he was not under investigation.

"The president is pleased that Mr. Comey has finally publicly confirmed his private reports that the president was not under investigation in any Russia probe," Kasowitz wrote on Wednesday, according to TIME. "The president feels completely and totally vindicated. He is eager to continue to move forward with his agenda."

But during his testimony, Comey explained that he felt the need to make detailed memos regarding his numerous private meetings with Trump because he was afraid that the president "might lie about the nature of our meeting," according to the Washington Examiner.

Trump refrained from tweeting during the testimony, despite reports that suggested he was planning to live-tweet the entire thing. He likely has a few remarks regarding Comey's statement, of which Kasowitz is expected to outline at his conference.

Prior to making his appearance Thursday, a spokesperson for Kasowitz released his statement in full to the press, which can be read—typo and all—below.
