Manson and his "family" expected the killing spree to ignite a race war, after which the Manson Family would emerge to lead the survivors. He and his accomplices were arrested and convicted due in large part to the efforts of prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, who passed away in 2015.Two years ago, Manson made headlines after he got engaged to a 26-year-old fan named Afton Elaine Burton, a.k.a.
