Exclusive Stream of Grum's 'In Love' EP

The nu-disco hero returns, gets grummy.

You know Grum. He's that Scottish dude who drops rolling disco stompers like "Heartbeats" and "Can't Shake This Feeling." Even the olds know those. He's among the all-star squad of outfits like Cut Copy, Mylo, Lindstrøm, and Midnight Magic—all harnessed that late 70s-to-mid-80s fluorescent flavor for the modern age. I believe they call it nu-disco?

Grum's debut album Heartbeats has become revered as a staple of nu-disco and electroclash, and after a somewhat lengthy hiatus, Grum is back with a new EP entitled In Love, to get you dancefloor dreamers sufficiently stoked leading up to the release of his sophomore LP, Human Touch.

Today we have the exclusive stream of his the three-track EP, which packs a feel-good disco punch and a synthy progressive edge, all served with a nice side of keys. In the spirit of proliferating unnecessary subgenres, I think I will call this progressive-piano-disco house. The EP also includes two quality remixes from Barrientos and Brett Gould, who both add deeper four-on-the floor flavor to the release. Give a listen to much anticipated slice of new material and go have some fun in the Grum.
