Seahawks DE Needs Help Getting Back His Stolen Magic: The Gathering Cards

My heart goes out to Cassius Marsh out in Seattle. He's a little-known third-year defensive end with 42 career tackles. And he's grieving.

Marsh lost his Magic: The Gathering cards. Like a lot of them. Like almost $25,000 worth. From the Seattle Times:

"Marsh's girlfriend went to a nightclub in downtown Seattle on Tuesday night. Marsh's car window was smashed and he had two backpacks stolen from the backseat. One contained his team-issued iPad. The other contained cases of Magic: The Gathering cards."

Marsh estimated the value of the cards somewhere between $20-25,000. Having never played Magic, I don't get all the hubbub but I once lost some baseball cards. There was a $50 Cal Ripken Jr. card. I was wrecked.

"I'm a nerd, for sure," Marsh told the Times. "I've been playing since I was 11. How people like gaming, I like cards. It's not even the money. I really enjoy playing the game. To me, that's what I do to get my mind off things sometimes. You know how people zone out sometimes? That's how I zone out. It's hurtful because those are one thing I really care about."

If you're the person who stole these cards, Marsh is willing to give you two tickets to a Seahawks home game. He's not even asking for the iPad with the playbook.

Just give that poor guys his cards. He seems so damn sad about it.

"I won't press any charges," Marsh said. "I don't care. I just want my cards back."
