Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott Just Scorched the Earth with "BURNITUP"

This is how it's done. Take notes.

In case you're not up to scratch with happenings in pop royalty, Janet Jackson is set to make a welcome return to the spotlight with UNBREAKABLE, her first studio album in seven years.

Ms. Velvet Rope has been slowly teasing (like she does) new music from the album since June, including the debut single "No Sleeep", a stern reminder that Janet's still got the same prowess for producing certified baby-makers.

Today the comeback continues with the full version of BURNITUP, an upbeat collaboration with an artist of equal power – and no stranger to a hit record – Missy Elliot.

Just like Michael, Janet has always danced across RnB and new jack flavors into more disco oriented cuts, making this modern, club focused track no surprise from a versatile artist still very much at the top of her game.

The track will also see an upcoming rework treatment from deep house talent and Sam Smith collaborator Naughty Boy.
