The First Saturday of College Football Didn't End Until 4:34am (EST), Sunday

Due to a lightning storm delay for two hours, Northern Illinois and Wyoming didn't finish up their game until deep into Sunday morning after triple overtime.

Hey @DesmondHoward….even at 2:34 am, we got you! #GoWyo pic.twitter.com/kwK3ntxyhf

Yesterday was nuts, y'all. Looking at college football schedules is like looking at Wilt Chamberlain's track record—you really don't know how so much went down in so little time. Things kicked off at noon, EST, with Oklahoma-Houston—which was certifiably bonkers—and things didn't stop until 4:34am EST. Wait, what?

Yes, due to a lightning storm delay for two hours, Northern Illinois and Wyoming didn't finish up their game until deep into Sunday morning, after going for three straight overtimes. The game ended with Wyoming QB Josh Allen making this majestic scramble through Northern Illinois' invariably-tired defense, and diving into the end zone. What a way to kick things off, people.
