Toro y Moi Shares Two #Rare Unreleased Tracks on SoundCloud

He has also shared digital versions of music from a 2013 7".

After he put out his fifth full-length album for indie institution Carpark Records earlier this year, then following it up with a surprise 20-track mixtape featuring collaborations with the likes of Rome Fortune and Nosaj Thing, you'd think Chaz Bundick, aka Toro y Moi, would want to take it easy this holiday season and get away from music for a little bit.

For a hardworking man like Bundick, though, that wasn't a likely plan of action. Yesterday, clearly in the throes of some kind of holiday spirit, Mr. Bundick took to SoundCloud and uploaded four tracks—three abstract hip-hop-influenced beats and one wonky lo-fi pop bit—all laden with the hashtag #rare. "Couplegirls" and "2 - 1-12b" were new to our ears, while "3 - 4-12b" and "4- 5-12b" were a blast from the past, having been previously incarnated as part of "Lyin (Pt. 1-4)," from a 2013 split 7" with Dog Bite.
