MØ Stopped By BBC Radio to Debut Her New Song "Nights With You"

The Danish pop star is gearing up to release her sophomore album.

Danish pop star MØ hasn't put out a full project since 2014, when she released her debut No Mythologies to Follow. The album's mixture of electro-pop and R&B helped catapult her to a new level, but her follow-up singles with Major Lazer, "Lean On" and the Justin Bieber duet "Cold Water," have since made her a bona fide global star. Now, the Danish singer is ready for her next solo act. Today she appeared as a guest on MistaJam's BBC Radio 1 show and dropped off a new single titled "Nights With You." After premiering the track she told MistaJam that her new album is "very, very close" to completion.

"'Nights With You' is about my best friend," MØ explained in a press release. "I've known her since kindergarten and she is like a sister to me. We are very different but also super similar and we've shared our life together on so many levels. The lyrics are about telling your soulmate to let go of all the worries. We live in crazy times, in a crazy world with crazy expectations to what happiness is, and the pressure we put on ourself is enormous. Sometimes all you need is someone who knows you well to just demand of you to stop worrying, turn off your phone, go out, get smashed and forget about life as we know it." Listen to "Nights With You" below.
