Bass, burgers, beats—oh my!
This Sunday on the picturesque banks of New York City's East River, Dirtybird Records artists like head honcho Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Justin Jay and the man of the hour—Kill Frenzy—will not just be serving up their booty dropping brand of techy-house bombs, but will also be providing a smorgasbord of delicious BBQ-beauties. Dancers will revel in kiddie pools of bleu cheese and hot sauce, with not only their hands in the air, but also such delicious items as meaty chicken wings and slow-cooked pulled pork.
While that last part may or may not be true, this event promises to be one hell of a party, and has become the San Francisco label's most special showcase, starting years back as a neighborhood party in the lush fields of Golden Gate Park. Since those early days, the BBQ has expanded, often landing its grill in Miami for Winter Music Conference, with a healthy serving of special guests and a whole lotta fun. This time around they've expanded even more and will be bringing the event across North America to Los Angeles, Detroit, Toronto, and of course their native town.
