NBA Unveils Logo for 2016 All-Star Game in Toronto

The NBA unveiled Wednesday the logo for the 2016 All-Star Game that will be played in Toronto and it, predictably, featured the city's iconic landmark, the CN Tower.

The logo displays the top portion of the giant free-standing structure, which is situated in the downtown core, and blends elements of the Raptors' new team logo that will be introduced next season.

NBA Canada posted a Vine capturing all the hype.

A number of secondary logos were also released, paying tribute to the Canadian theme by featuring a maple leaf and toque.

The only thing missing from the logo was the team's global ambassador—whatever that is—Drake, but some designs, according to sportslogos.net, include his trademark gold and black OVO colours.

Next year's festivities mark the first time in NBA history that the All-Star Game will be held outside of the United States, and will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of basketball. Canadian Dr. James Naismith invented the sport in 1891.

The Raptors will host the event over the Feb. 12–14 weekend at the Air Canada Centre.
