Brisbane’s Poo Jogger Has Resigned From His Executive Position

A momentary thrill for a lifetime of consequences.

You guys, this story just keeps going! As you know, a bunch of Brisbane neighbours recently gathered together to out a mystery pooper who was terrorising their suburb. Yesterday we discovered that the mystery man was Andrew Douglas Macintosh — the national quality manager of Aveo, Australia’s leading retirement village company.

Well, things are going from bad to worse for him. Macintosh has now resigned from the corporate position. Aveo confirmed the news to The Courier Mail, saying until yesterday they weren’t aware of the charges laid against their staffer: “Aveo Group is distressed and disappointed at the alleged incidents concerning Mr Macintosh. He has tendered his resignation to the company today and is no longer an employee of Aveo Group.”

They did add that they will ”continue to extend its support to Mr Macintosh for help that he may require.”

Macintosh faced court this week, but his charge was downgraded to an infringement notice and $378 fine. Although residents are still gunning for an apology and an explanation — which honestly is fair. If someone was shitting up my yard I’d need that kind of closure.

If he’s looking for work, maybe he could freelance for the @poojogger, the Twitter account that sprung up this week? Judging by how strongly this story is trending, he’s gotta get a book deal at the very least.
