In addition to championing veterans' rights, reminding us to eat our vegetables, and advocating for higher education, Michelle Obama has been one of the most exciting first ladies to watch speak. She wowed everyone at the Democratic National Convention with her eloquent, emotional speech about watching her daughters grow up during their time in the White House and delivered some fierce words on behalf of Hillary Clinton while on the campaign trail last year.

On Friday, Mrs. Obama is set to deliver her final words as first lady during a celebration for the 2017 School Counselor of the Year. President Obama started the event in 2015 to honor educators who are making a significant difference in the lives of their students, and this year, the award will go to Terri Tchorzynski, who works at the Calhoun Area Career Center in Battle Creek, Michigan.
