Harrison Ford Fucks Up, Nearly Crashes His Plane Into an Airliner

The Indiana Jones actor sort of nearly had (another) very serious accident while flying one of his private planes.

There are lots of interesting things about Harrison Ford. He once had his ear pierced at Claire's Accessories. He used to be a carpenter. He has a massive collection of airplanes, which he likes to fly around.

This week, he was involved in a potentially serious run-in with an airliner at a Californian airport, flying directly above a passenger airline as he came in to land. Unfortunately for Harrison, air traffic control recordings captured him asking, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?"

The commercial flight departed safely shortly afterwards. Ford's publicist has declined to comment on the near-miss.

This isn't the first time he's had a close call while cruising around. He crash-landed a helicopter in Ventura County, California in 1999.  A year later he made an emergency landing in Nebraska, in which the plane wing hit the runway and was damaged. Then, in 2015, he crash-landed on a California golf course after reporting severe engine failure on his vintage aircraft. He was seriously injured that time, breaking his arm and suffering memory loss.

He's not just some random minted crusader stuck in the Raiders of the Lost Ark days, though; Harrison's a trained pilot and has flown successful search and rescue missions. But basically, if you're on a flight in or around the California area, always consider that Harrison Ford could be hovering just above you.
