Online auctions are a gold mine for weird shit, offering up some true gems like Patrick Swayze's G-string, Truman Capote's ashes, and even a bag of fresh air from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Now, keen internet shoppers have a chance to buy something just as remarkable: a certified, 80s-era FBI surveillance van, currently sitting on eBay for roughly $16,000.According to local CBS affiliate WNCN, owner Ginter Senfeldas was looking for a heavy-duty van when he discovered the 1989 Dodge Ram 350 in a government auction online. After purchasing it, he found two LCD screens wired to cameras hidden on all four corners of the van's exterior, along with a slew of other gizmos straight out of Mission Impossible: radar surveillance equipment, DVD players, tape recorders, binoculars, an intercom system, and even a built-in bathroom for particularly long stakeouts."[It has] everything you need to get the investigation done," Senfeldas told WNCN.Senfeldas claims the van was used in federal drug investigations, something he might've gleaned from a few remnants that were left in the vehicle. He apparently found some old notebooks and surveillance tapes used in a long-forgotten FBI operation, which he's leaving for the new owner of the van to mess around with.Less thrilling—but just as important—the van appears to be in great shape. Senfeldas posted a virtual tour of the Ram to YouTube, showcasing the unscathed, original interior, working AC, near-spotless body, and new tires.
