In Photos: Launching 'Iceland' with Tourettes

The unstoppable Dominic Hoey adds novelist to his long string of creative achievements.

Last night, VICE launched ICELAND, the debut novel of Dominic Hoey, the rapper-turned-poet known as Tourettes.

The book follows two protagonists in the Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn, and looks at the reality of a generation trying to find their place in a city being reshaped beneath their feet.

Hoey read excerpts from his book to a capacity crowd at Golden Dawn. It's raw, hopeful, and very, very familiar. You can read our interview with Hoey here, and check out the photos from the launch below.
