Anticipation for Ty Dolla $ign's Beach House 3 album has been growing over the past week, especially since he released his "Love U Better" single with Lil Wayne and The-Dream. The LA rapper/singer's sophomore album doesn't have a release date yet but he recently talked with the Guardian about some of its details. During the interview, he spoke about the project being the Beach House album, as the first two installments were fashioned as mixtapes: "Beach House 3 is Beach House the album. So it is an album—not a mixtape. Mixtapes are dead by the way. People don't even have CD players anymore."

Ty also talked about how his 2015 debut album Free TC caused his incarcerated brother some trouble:

"After Free TC, he just got hella attention and something happened where it got back to them and he ended up getting locked in the hole for a long ass time, so right now there isn't a song on Beach House 3 with him."

In the most unexpected part of Ty's interview, he spoke about the beauty of collaboration and talked about some artists he'd like to work with the most. He then confessed his fandom for John Mayer's music:

"I love basically every album he ever put out. I love his writing, I love his guitar playing, I love his voice. He's just a dope all-around artist."
