Some genuinely shocking footage of the moment a man fired a sawn-off shotgun into a crowd outside a Leeds nightclub has emerged. The attack took place in August last year, and miraculously the victim – a 42-year-old man – survived a wound to his chest, despite being just a few feet away on impact. The gunman was joined by two other attackers, wielding a knife and a machete respectively. The victim also received knife wounds and had to undergo surgery.The three men have been sentenced a total of 52 years in jail for the attack.DCI Jim Griffiths, of the West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, described the attack as "appallingly violent", adding "it is only by sheer chance that the victim was not killed". He continued, "These men armed themselves with a sawn-off shotgun, a machete and a knife, and shot the victim at close range in a targeted attack that we have never been able to establish the basis for."The whole incident was captured on CCTV and it shows just how busy the area was with people enjoying the evening at the time and the obvious risks there were to others."

Kemar Ricketts (29) and Seion Allen (33) – also both from Leeds – were found guilty of attempted murder. They were both sentenced to 19 years imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court.
