Dean Blunt Shares New Album 'HOTEP' as BLUE IVERSON

The 20-minute release mostly consists of DIY, neo soul-evoking instrumentals.

It looks like London-based artist and experimental musician Dean Blunt dropped a new album today called HOTEP, under the moniker BLUE IVERSON. Encompassing a collection of eight neo soul-esque tracks, the release is mostly instrumental except for "Hush Money," "Jenna's Interlude," and "Fake Loathe," which feature female vocalists.

The release's cover features what looks like a photoshop cutout of the iconic portrait of Lauryn Hill from the cover of her 1998 debut, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The artist moniker for the project, meanwhile, seems to allude to Texan rapper Post Malone's breakout single "White Iverson."

What might be Blunt's new album is available to download as well as stream on YouTube. The uploader (circlejurkddd) has previously uploaded Blunt material including last year's single "Benidorm" and a music video for Black Metal's "50 Cent."

THUMP reached out to Blunt's team for more information, but had not heard back by publication.
