Weep to This Piano Cover of Lil Uzi Vert's "XO Tour Llif3"

Play this during the season finale of your life.

"XO Tour Llif3" is the year's most universal song. Able to convey both fuck-the-world recklessness and deep depression, it is modern humanity in a nutshell. Even actual emo bands can vouch for its authenticity in their canon. But here's a real test: can "XO Tour Llif3" survive without its signature "all my friends are dead" hook or any of its lyrics? To this, I would ask you as to why your faith in Uzi would ever waver, but to conclusively answer the question, here's someone showing just how beautiful this song sounds when reduced to just melody and harmony on a grand piano.

As performed by the Theorist, a producer who does a lot of these piano covers, "XO Tour Llif3" becomes nothing less than pure melancholy. Its dynamic shift, from spritely staccato playing in the intro to ringing bass fifths and high octaves in the choruses, perfectly mirrors that of the original recording, even without Uzi's impassioned cries. As you get lost in this cover, you can see your past regrets and loves wash by like a gentle stream, then a raging river. The torrent then emerges from your tear ducts. It feels great. You are also hitting a Milly Rock at the same time. Listen to the Theorist's "XO Tour Llif3" cover above.

Phil shorted out his laptop from crying so hard. He's on Twitter.
