Fyre Festival is the great story of our time, a dystopian revenge fable that condemns the follies of late capitalism while also giving the already relevant Ja Rule a few more decades of visibility. Unfortunately, Ja may now be paying for this renewed attention with some of that "Between Me & You" royalty money, despite his own public apology and sending refund forms to all the guests. As Variety reports, celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos (who's represented everyone from Kesha to Michael Jackson) has filed a lawsuit against Ja and co-organizer Billy McFarland on behalf of plaintiff Daniel Jung. The damages? US$100 million. Minimum. Yeesh.Geragos' suit goes all the way with the fiction references, saying that guests "…suddenly finding themselves stranded on a remote island without basic provision …. was closer to The Hunger Games or Lord of the Flies than Coachella." Oh, those poor millionaires and children of millionaires who were able to spend up to $12,000 on ticket packages.
