JONATHAN GLAZER'S 'UNDER THE SKIN' GETS A NEW TRAILER

We were blown away by Jonathan Glazer's Under the Skin when it screened at Venice last month (find out why). Arriving nine long years after his last film, Birth, and thirteen years after his acclaimed Ray Winstone vehicle Sexy Beast, the hauntingly atmospheric and unique sci-fi follows Scarlett Johansson's Laura, an enigmatic alien in human form who's traveling through Scotland, seducing men along the way and… well, doing other stuff to them.

IN FOCUS: THE CINEMATOGRAPHY OF ROGER DEAKINS

This week sees the release of Prisoners, which features the work of legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins. We spoke to the husband-and-wife team about identity, moving from theatre to film and nabbing Aiden Gillen from Game of Thrones.

Kevin Smith Is Adapting a Gumtree Ad Into a Movie

I don't know if you've read this internet-famous Gumtree ad calling for a flatmate who could stay rent-free on the condition they regularly dressed as a walrus. I'm really hoping you have since my Dad e-mailed it to me, and if you're more behind the times than my Dad, it's cause for some serious concern. Well, Kevin Smith is definitely as cool as my Dad and is using the ad as inspiration for his brand new horror movieTusk. Can you guess what the plot will be? Yes, you were right, it's about a mad scientist wanting to sow a victim into a giant walrus costume. Logically. If this sounds like Smith's gone insane, don't worry. Apparently Tusk is basically only a warm-up in the director's chair for Clerks III. That's a real special kind of warm-up though, Smith.
