Namibian light welterweight boxer Jonas Junius was arrested earlier today on suspicion of sexual assault of a woman working in the Olympic village in Rio. According to police, he "force[d] himself on a housekeeper."

Junius is now the second boxer to have been accused of sexual assault at these Olympics. Last Friday, Moroccan boxer Hassan Saada was arrested on charges he sexually assaulted two maids in the Olympic Village. Saada is being held for 15 days pending the completion of an investigation into the claims, and has been disqualified from competing in Rio. Junius, who was Namibia's flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony Friday night, was scheduled to fight on Thursday, against Hassan Amzile of France.Junius is expected to be transferred to Rio's Bangu prison later today.
