BRIE LARSON AND DESTIN CRETTON TALK 'SHORT TERM 12'

Since premiering at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, Short Term 12 has been endlessly praised for its script, story and performances. But despite the Oscar buzz surrounding it and the assertions that this will do for Brie Larson’s career what Winter’s Bone did for Jennifer Lawrence’s, Larson and her writer/director are trying to keep their feet on the ground. Before attending the UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, Destin and Brie spoke to us about what inspired the film and the wonders of Reddit.

Tom Hardy Is Going to Be an Amazing Elton John

So there seems to have been kind of a mixed reaction to the news that Tom Hardy has been cast to play the legendary musician in musical biopic Rocketman, but those upset by the news are unlikely to have seen any of his work outside of the The Dark Kight Returns. Sure, he's more famous for cutting a brawny and imposing figure, but Hardy's got versality and talent in the bag and there's no doubt this performance will be a strong contender for future awards seasons. LEA SEYDOUX AND BEN WHISHAW TO STAR IN YORGOS LANTHIMOS' 'THE LOBSTER'

2009's darkly surreal and quirky Dogtooth bagged an Oscar nomination while making its director, Yorgos Lanthimos, one to watch. Which is why we're here right now looking ahead to his next surprisingly star-stuffed English-language debut.

Following the Greek director's last film Alps (which was consumed in the shadow of Dogtooth), Lanthimos will be teaming up with Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Colour), Ben Whishaw (Bright Star), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) and Olivia Colman (Tyrannosaur) for a love story entitled The Lobster.
