(via)Border Force officers seized about £50 million worth of cocaine from inside a shipping container full of tinned tuna. The shipment was found in Essex, at Thurrock's DP World London Gateway development, and has reportedly been imported from Ecuador via Belgium.

"The intended destination for this consignment was mainland Europe but it's likely a proportion would still have ended up back in the UK," said Matthew Rivers, of the NCA's Border Policing Command. "We are now working closely with our law enforcement colleagues overseas as part of the ongoing investigation."The border officials found about 500kg of the class A drug in eight holdalls inside the shipment on Monday, but the story wasn't widely reported until Friday evening.
