The Founders of Detroit Techno Are Coming to East London

We're giving away tickets to go see Messrs Saunderson, Atkins and May.

Starting tomorrow night, dollop are putting on a series of three nights, each headlined by one of three legendary Detroit names at a secret warehouse location in East London. This Friday (29th June) is the turn of Juan Atkins, in two weeks on Friday 13th, July it'll be Kevin Saunderson's and two weeks after that Derrick May will be finishing up the Detroit Series on Friday, 27th July. Known as The Belleville Three, Atkins, Saunderson and May pretty much invented modern dance music and are therefore largely responsible for every nuanced sub-genre that's shone in the clubs since. So we highly recommend going to the shows and thank them for every sweat drenched, heart palpitating, pupil dilating night and morning out you've ever had. You can do this by answering the following question: Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May are being billed by dollop as "Originator", "Elevator" and "Innovator", respectively.

Which of those labels best describes you: Originator, Elevator or Innovator? Send your answers and your details to ukcompetitions@vice.com. If we like your answer, we'll send you some tickets. If we don't like it, you'll have to hear about how great it was from all your friends who went and bought tickets from one of the links on this website. Actually, you could buy a ticket from there as well. If you don't win, do that. You'll also be able to watch it all happening live on Boiler Room, more about that here. The full line-up for the three nights is as follows:
