I don't know about you mate, but I'm in the mood for a holiday. Summer has basically just arrived. The trees are heavy with blossom. The days are stretching out into endless of hours of sun and possibility. BBQs are becoming extremely frequent. I got my legs out one day last week. I am, in fact, a mere few clicks away from extending my overdraft and booking a flight to somewhere even hotter. Somewhere like Southern California, for instance, which is full of blue skies and fresh, ripe peaches that grow on trees and boundless joy. You get the idea.
All of which is to say, after watching the new music video from Mura Masa, for his track "All Around the World" featuring Desiigner, this urge to fly away just got a hell of a lot stronger. In the clip, which was unveiled this morning, Desiigner dances joyfully beside a south Cally beach in a car park surrounded by palm trees. That's basically the whole premise of the video, but something about it is massively uplifting. Perhaps it's the cheerleaders that dance beside him as he bounds around. Perhaps it's the cloudless sky, which looks weirdly expansive. Perhaps it's the fact it's filmed at the "golden hour", just as the sun is setting, making everybody look beautiful. Perhaps it's the track itself, which has the kind of beat that makes you want to fist pump and swill cocktails. Whatever it is, it's working.
Anyway, soak up the 2 minute and 45 second slice of happiness above.
