Walk Through an Artist's Dream in the Short Film 'Kensho'

Visual artist Aaron Paradox takes us on a journey inside his sleeping mind.
Screencaps via

Embark on the kaleidoscopic journey through time and space in Kensho, a short film gleaned from the dreams of London based visual artist Aaron Paradox. Narrated by writer and philosopher Alan Watts and produced by Pay Attention and Why So Serious Studios, Paradox’s animation passes through wave after wave of his nighttime wanderings, from religious imagery and visions of ancient civilizations, to modern ideas and ideograms, all set to a moving score by Zach Hemsey. Viewers pass through pictures of the Aztecs and the ancient Egyptians, images of astronauts, and even travel into space as Watts implores us to imagine having the power, “within one night to dream 75 years of time”—if you've seen Inception, you know how much dreaming can happen in just a few minutes.
