Hard to Kill, the duo of DSTRY collective rappers Teddy Fantum and G Milla, specialize in making trap bangers that economize space, much like Toronto's residents do with the ever-growing amount of condominiums in the city (look, there's a whole long thing with Toronto and condos, we'll talk about it one day). Their newest sampling, following debut single "Slime," is called "Paper Cranes," clocking in at 105 seconds and making use of every single one of them.The production, by Teddy and DSTRY affiliate Roam, wobbles and bounces in a sub-bass swamp, while Teddy and Milla fold their raps into each other like the titular origami sculpture. The disorienting visuals are also right up DSTRY's well-established brand of meaningful murk (disclosure: former VICE Canada employee Jake Kivanç co-directed the video along with technical direction by Limmidy).
