Is This Video of a Tommy Robinson Supporter Crying Real?

Because, if so, lol.

This weekend, hundreds of adults who don't understand how the law works gathered in central London to protest the jailing of former EDL leader Tommy Robinson.

Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who was already subject to a suspended sentence for committing contempt of court during a 2017 rape trial – was jailed for contempt of court in May of this year, after pleading guilty to the crime.

The details of this latest offence: Robinson had stood outside Leeds Crown Court during a trial, attempted to film the defendants entering the court and discussed the details of the trial, all on a Facebook livestream watched by – at one point – 10,000 people. Sentencing Robinson, Judge Geoffrey Robinson QC said his actions could have impacted the defendants' right to a fair trial, causing it to collapse and costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process.

Unfortunately, the #FreeTommy street team – which includes Alex Jones and far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders – either don't understand that Robinson has simply broken the law and been punished for it, just as literally anyone else would have been, or are wilfully ignoring that fact. Their reasoning goes: Tommy is a free speech crusader (because he tells them what they want to hear about Islam), the government don't like that, and so have sent him away.

On Saturday, all of this manifested itself in hundreds of protesters gathering in Trafalgar Square to chant "Free Tommy Robinson!", chuck stuff at the police and damage a central London sightseeing bus. A few of these British patriots even took the opportunity to throw up Nazi salutes, a short walk away from various memorials marking the deaths of all the British soldiers killed by Nazi forces in WWII.

In the above video, posted to the Twitter account of South Asian news magazine Barfi Culture, we see one of these Nazi-saluting protesters. Later, we see what appears to be the same man being arrested by police, wailing about "being abused", when in fact he is simply being handcuffed – fairly gently, by the looks of it.

I've messaged Barfi Culture on Twitter and via their official email to find out who's responsible for the video, because the juxtaposition between a man confidently giving the Nazi salute and – soon after – what appears to be the same man howling the crocodile tears of a small child denied a pack of Skittles presents a number of questions.

Is it real? Is this man an antifa plant, brought in to make the #FreeTommy brigade look just absolutely pathetic? What, possibly, could the police be doing that would elicit those kinds of cries? What did this man do to get arrested in the first place? Are all the Islamophobes on Twitter defending the saluting protesters as a "small minority who aren't representative of the movement as a whole" completely and wholly blind to the irony of what they're saying?

Answers in my inbox, please.

UPDATE 11/06/18: Barfi Culture replied, saying they cut together the video from livestream footage posted by Tommy Robinson supporters, and a helpful follower (s/o Luke Collins) clarified that the footage came from Redpill Phil, who at one point turns the camera towards counter-protesters and utters the blessed words: "Jesus is coming, but we need him here right now to get rid of these bloody socialists."
