Some of the UK Drill Videos YouTube Deleted Are Now on Pornhub

Of course people online found a way to keep the much-maligned and misunderstood genre up.

Well, that didn't take long. Back in April, a Times (the British one) article linked Tim Westwood's YouTube channel – which frequently features UK drill artists – with gang activity. At the same time, the Met Police Commissioner Cressida Dick called on YouTube to take down videos that could "incite violence", resulting in a number of drill videos being removed from the site. This is obviously not a clever and comprehensive approach to tackling the nationwide, complicated issue of knife crime, but thankfully some internet geniuses have managed to keep some of the videos taken down (from Tim Westwood's Crib Sessions) alive on a different platform. Enter: Pornhub.

You can now see Crib Sessions by – NSFW alert, depending on how much you respect your browsing history – BSIDE, 1011, and Zone on Pornhub instead. All those videos appear to have been removed from YouTube at the time of writing. Clicking over to them means they'll show up alongside, well, you know what. This is not Pornhub's first foray into music, and though it is almost certainly an accidental one, it's almost definitely its best. Congratulations to the collective forces of the internet for yet again finding the funniest way to circumvent ridiculousness possible, but at the same time, let's also hope these videos make their way back to their rightful place on YouTube soon.
