VICE Is Coming to All 4 in the UK

That's right: we're taking our shows to Channel 4's online on-demand service.
HAMILTON’S PHARMACOPEIA
A still from VICE show Hamilton's Pharmacopeia

For the last couple of years we’ve had a TV channel dedicated to drugs, sex, food, skating, politics: all the good stuff. Now, we’re linking up with Channel 4 so you can catch a load of those shows for free on All 4.

We’re dropping all our shows as full box sets for your legal streaming pleasure. So the next time you wake up feeling like hell, you can watch hours of documentaries about weed and the far-right and other topics that will helpfully put a comedown in perspective.

As an alternative to a potential existential crisis, you could have your mates round to watch Black Market, and dive into stories about the illegal trade of pangolin. Or maybe Slutever and Scottish sex robots or dragon dildos would take your fancy instead. The point is, we’ve got you covered – we’ll be putting up over 25 full VICE shows at launch, with more rolling out over the next year. Here’s a taste of four of the series you’ll be able to watch:

HAMILTON’S PHARMACOPEIA: PSYCHEDELIC DRUGS AND KETAMINE ANGELS

Hamilton Morris looks at the chemistry and culture of different psychedelic drugs, meeting the makers, users and shamans who keep their mysteries alive. There’s the late Timothy Wyllie, an artist who took ketamine to meet angels living in another dimension, and Erik Hoffstad, who got famous smoking salvia in his back garden for YouTube. In the name of science, journalism and entertainment, Hamilton must try these substances himself to discover their truth.

HATE THY NEIGHBOUR: SURREAL CONVERSATIONS WITH THE GLOBAL FAR-RIGHT

Join comedian Jamali Maddix as he travels the world meeting the far-right, pro-lifers, gay bashers, and other groups who’ve dedicated their lives to targeting other people. He hangs out with an EDL member who believes using the N-word doesn’t make him a racist, as well as Milo Yiannopoulos, the ex-Breitbart columnist and professional troll. Fun for all the family.

NEEDLES & PINS: TATTOOING SUBCULTURE FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Tattoo artist and activist Grace Neutral heads on a global roadtrip to find out about body art subcultures. From Maori tribal tattoos in New Zealand to illegal underground studios in South Korea, she looks at how perceptions around tattooing have changed, and what it really means to get inked today.

WEEDIQUETTE: AN IN-DEPTH LOOK AT THE IMPACT OF CANNABIS LEGALISATION

So look, legal weed is coming. Already green-lit for recreational use in several American states, medicinal cannabis products are finally set to be prescribed for some UK patients. And so host Krishna Andavolu investigates the highs and lows of pot going mainstream, with several joints along the way. (Finally, you can stop cornering people at parties to discuss the benefits of CBD, because there will now be loads of other, more accessible fans who actually want to talk about it with you!).
