People who like art love to talk about how much they do. What better accessory for an art nerd than a pin? You can show everyone what you like; you can feel superior to the people who don’t know what it is and superior to the people who know what it is, since they obviously don’t know it like you know it. Picasso was famous for crudely drawn women and for loving hookers; here we see both of these tasks executed seamlessly. A fitting way to usher in modernity!

Take it from me (someone who hires illustrators): A good illustrator is hard to find. When the instagram-famous draughtspeople of the world aren’t using typographical clichés to make logos of coffee or cats, they’re drawing tried pop cultural references from The Simpsons and Twin Peaks. But the illustrators that are good, well, they're really good. Keith Caves is one of them, and he just released this sick pin with Tough Times Press. It would look good on literally anything, and I think I'm going to buy it now.

Homage pins are easy; that’s why there are so many. But a good one is hard to come by. I love this Hitchcock pin. It’s so simple but says a lot and really does function as a tiny work of art, which is what I love about pins to begin with. It’s also quite possible that there's nothing cooler than Hitchcock.
