VICE UK Is 15 Years Old

Here's how we're marking the anniversary.

This post is part of VICE's 15th anniversary series, presented by VANS

This month, VICE UK turns 15. That's a decade-and-a-half of stories about everything from radical street politics to Ukrainian space Barbies; institutional inequality to far-fetched pranks on the fashion industry; unrivalled video access to extremist caliphates, to interviews with a teenager who lost his finger at a jungle rave and – instead of seeking emergency medical help – just kept on dancing because "the bass was hard and the music was popping".

To mark the milestone we're putting on a few events in London over the course of this week: tomorrow, a birthday event at the House of Vans, with drinks from our very own beer company, Old Blue Last; on Wednesday, the premiere of Noisey Blackpool II, a follow-up to our 2016 film which documented the unlikely rise of grime in the North West seaside town; and on Thursday, The VICE.com Roadshow, a live evening of discussion, comedy and drinks.

We'll also be publishing a bunch of stories and videos looking back at the last 15 years, a Noisey editorial series examining the British music scene of 2002 and an interview with a guy who met the mother of his child while trolling VICE's Facebook comments.
