Three things you should know about the video MØ released today, called "When I Was Young".1) The song suffers from Stick A Drop In It instead of a Chorus Syndrome, a condition which has sadly plagued pop in 2017.2) It also features horns – a good or a bad thing, depending on your affection toward tooting brass.3) However – regardless of the horns or the drop – the video is a nice meditation on past and present and future selves. Y'know: the important shit, about how we grow as humans. At least that's pretty much what we're meant to take from it, as MØ said in a statement accompanying the clip:

Watch above and then slowly, perhaps, imagine crawling into this world and out again.Follow Noisey on Twitter. It was inspired by a painting called ‘The Dance Of Life’ by one of my favourite artists, Edvard Munch. It’s an illustration of three women – one in white, one in red and one in black – and tells a story about three stages of human life: youth, maturity, and old age. I was always drawn to this image as a kid due to its simple symbolism and emotion and have been dying to do a video that could reflect on it.
