How to Attend the VICE UK Filmmaking Masterclass

We're running a special event, in collaboration with The Dots, on the 28th of June.

Making films is a big part of what we do at VICE. If you're reading this, I'm going to go ahead and assume you know that and that you've seen some of them – maybe one of the longer documentaries, like Locked Off: Britain's Illegal Rave Renaissance, or some of the newer short-form stuff we've been doing lately, like Chat Shit Get Elected or The Great Council House Scam: Cocaine Dealer.

Either way, you'll know our production team has valuable knowledge to share. So when creative network The Dots asked us to work with them on a directing, videography and filmmaking masterclass, it made perfect sense to do just that.

The evening event, on Wednesday the 28th of June, will allow you to meet a load of industry experts – including Eloise King, Executive Producer of VICE UK Digital Programming; Kevin Sutcliffe, SVP of our TV channel VICELAND; and Alex Miller, UK Editor in Chief of VICE Media – who will be there to answer your questions, review your portfolios and offer industry insights.

There are 40 spots available and it's open to all, no matter how experienced or inexperienced you are. However, we're looking for anybody with a love for the world of film, video, content and media, and especially those with a passion for directing and producing.

To apply, sign up here and upload your portfolio. It's free to apply, and if you're one of the 40 people selected you'll be sent a single-use ticket code, with tickets costing £15.
