On the night's red carpet, Dolly Parton shouted out Kacey Musgraves' performance as one to look out for throughout the night and, hey, when was the last time she was wrong? Musgraves offered a somber, piano-led rendition of "Rainbow," which was as emotive as everything we've come to expect from pop-country's greatest nostalgist. The performance was especially momentous on the back of Musgraves' already-exciting night; she took home Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song in the pre-show, and ended the night with Best Country Album and Album of the Year.
