If the worst part about a book light is its bulky design, and the worst part about a bookmark is that its insignificant design makes it too easy to rid of, have we got the perfect hybrid product for you. From Kyouei design, the minimalist masterminds behind abstract music devices and storm-worthy installations, comes the bookmark light, a brilliant fusion of form and function that acts as both a bookmark when flat, and an LED book light when folded up.

The bookmark light was designed by Kyouei founder Kouichi Okamoto, and features a printed with silver nanoparticle ink to illuminate two tiny, clear liquid crystals when activated by holding a CR2032 lithium coin battery between its two sides. The results are, well, beautiful.

This nifty little device will only set you back about $20 with shipping, and Kyouei's site says they'll send it anywhere in the world. So, what are you waiting for? Order one here.
