Here's The Game of Thrones Video Game We've Been Waiting For

When you play 'Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series,' you either win—or you die.

If you're like us, even after watching that sweet Season 4 animation from OctoberGame of Thrones' Season 5 can't arrive fast enough. Luckily, another diversion has emerged to help satisfy our Westeros addiction in the form of Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, a six-part episodic video game that follows the Northern House Forrester as they fight to survive the War of the Five Kings.

Much like both the HBO series Game of Thrones and the George R.R. Martin books, A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series alternates between the perspectives of multiple characters as they must choose between traditionally noble actions and the pragmatic decisions that could prevent a classic R.R. Martin-style character demise. In the complex world Telltale Games has created, players must take into account how their actions will affect the other characters they use, as well as the House Forrester as a whole.

Telltale Games has a decent track record of building games for enthusiastic fandoms. They have developed well-recieved playable episodes of franchises like Jurassic Park and The Walking Dead, and made a segment of the most recent Borderlands DLC. Game of Thrones is known to have some of the most outspoken lovers—and haters—around, so Telltale games has some big shoes to fill in telling their tale. Fortunately for them, they've enlisted several charcters from the show to help them out, including Tyrion Lannister performed by Peter Dinklage, Cersei Lannister performed by Lena Headey, Margaery Tyrell performed by Natalie Dormer, and, horrifyingly, Ramsay Snow performed by Iwan Rheon.

The first episode, Iron From Ice, picks up after the tumultous events at the end of Season 3, and debuts on PC, Mac, and PlayStation North America today, and Xbox 360 and PlayStation Europe tomorrow. Plus, mobile versions are on the way soon, so you'll be able to take your developing bloodlust and betrayal with you anywhere you go.

Visit Telltale Games' website for more information on the upcoming series.
