President Trump is slated to speak at 10:30 AM ET after a gunman in Las Vegas killed 50 people and injured hundreds of others Sunday night, the Associated Press reports.

According to the Washington Post, the suspected shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, allegedly fired a barrage of bullets from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Hotel and Casino at those gathered at a country-music festival across the street. According to Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Paddock is believed to have later killed himself and was found dead in his hotel room. An estimated 406 people were reportedly taken to the hospital in the aftermath of what has now been called the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

Trump spoke out about the incident on Twitter early Monday morning, offering his "warmest condolences" to those affected.
