Compton rapper Buddy's rise has been a slow grind, but it seems to have done him all sorts of good. Signed to Pharrell's i am OTHER label, he's had access to some of the best songwriters and producers in the industry, something that was glaringly obvious on his soulful Zane Lowe-premiered 2016 single "Shine."
