Billy Corgan Brought a Hit of Nostalgia to NPR's Tiny Desk

OK yes he played two new songs from 'Ogilala' but he *also* played the Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight."

Billy Corgan, who is just Billy Corgan again now, for the record, has stopped by everyone's favorite unconventional concert spot—the much hallowed NPR Tiny Desk. The 12-minute concert sees Corgan performing two tracks from his new album Ogilala, "Aeronaut" and "Mandarynne," as well as the Smashing Pumpkins' iconic track "Tonight, Tonight."

He's accompanied by a string quartet, and even though it's kinda weird to see a man in a cap and a puffer jacket, accompanied by a string quartet, it's good fun. Corgan himself switches from guitar to piano, and it's a pretty blend of old and new, though "Tonight, Tonight" is the standout by miles. See it above.
