Watch Father John Misty, Chill and Self-Effacing Guy, Duet with Tim Heidecker on "I Am a Cuck"

We're beginning to think Father John Misty doesn't wanna be friends. Oh Josh. All we did was talk a bunch of shit on you in the hopes that you'd share it on your chosen medium of Facebook (Facebook lmao), and besides, it's definitely all true. In an attempt to distract himself from the inner turmoil whipped up by the question of whether or not he really should Share this fine piece of journalism, FJM last night played the first show of a world tour in San Diego, California to promote his new album Pure Comedy, released April 7. And because if there's anything we know about Josh, it's that he's a super fun, chill and happily self-effacing guy, he joined his support act Tim Heidecker onstage to duet "I Am a Cuck," Heidecker's take on Simon and Garfunkel's "I Am a Rock":

Doesn't he look so comfortable and at ease as he takes this gentle poke at himself? His folded arms, the manner in which he insists on perfectly and very seriously singing the harmony line of a song that is literally titled "I Am a Cuck," his …robe? All of these are markers of a man who, truly, is lolling.

But I guess you do have to think: how many times do you think that FJM has been called a cuck in his life (gotta be a lot, whichever way you look at it)? Maybe this was his just his way of reclaiming power. Right on, buddy. Good for you.
