An Octopus Man Communes with a Beluga Whale in this Music Video

And reminds him that even in a 3D neon-pastel aquatic utopia, we're all going to die.

A lonely, singing beluga whale. An eerie-looking bathtub filled with pink water. An octopus man stuck inside a lifesaver, yet somehow not dragged to the water’s surface. These are just the highlights of Russian artist Pavel Samokhvalov’s candy-colored 3D music video for SPBCh's song “Whale.”

A Russian-speaking source tells The Creators Project that the dialogue goes something like this: the wistful whale repeatedly calls out for his friend, the octopus man, who arrives with the ominous news that we’re all going to die. He says that God fucked up, but that together, they can make the world better, that they can have this neon-pastel, aquatic utopia. And then, more reminders of the certainty of death. Gotta love sea life!
