Damon Albarn's a busy guy whose ventures span a wide array of media, so interviews with him tend to be a summary of about fifteen different projects. Case in point, a new chat with the Gorillaz mastermind and co-creator Jamie Hewlett in Q Magazine reveals much about what he's been up to leading up to his band's upcoming apocalypse party album Humanz. Pertaining to said album, Albarn says (via Pitchfork) that English legend and objectively perfect human Sade, along with the similarly legendary but significantly less perfect person Morrissey turned down the opportunity to appear on the album, the latter after a "month long email exchange."But smooth operator Albarn always has more irons in the fire, as he and Hewlett disclosed plans for a Gorillaz TV series (no release date yet) and that Albarn's other other band the Good, the Bad, and the Queen have a new, Brexit-inspired LP in the works. There's also talk about how Humanz was conceived of by imagining what we would all be listening to in a Trump presidency.
