Somebody Should Really Buy The World’s Most Expensive Christmas Sweater from 2 Chainz

50 Carats of diamonds and 250 grams of gold are weaved into the shiny knitwear item.

Ugly Christmas sweaters are an annoying tradition, the logical endpoint of an irony-fueled tweefest that takes ugliness as a virtue and your grandmother as a worthwhile designer. The type of person that really loves their Christmas sweater is that guy Andy from human resources who doesn't really have many opportunities for creative expression through the year beyond his Borat impression and really doubles down every year by picking out some red and green monstrosity at T.J. Maxx, wearing it to the office with a thoroughly depressing type of glee. Fuck Andy. Fuck your Christmas cheer.

This, I believe, is the genius of 2 Chainz's new Christmas sweater, the most expensive such item in the world. With 50 carats worth of diamonds and 250 grams of gold, it's on sale for $90,000. It's crafted by Avianne, 2 Chainz's personal jeweler. There is only one for sale. The only size is large. You can buy it here. Just look at this thing.

If somebody buys this sweater, anywhere in the world, Andy from HR will look like a little bitch. What's that Andy? You've got a really ugly Christmas sweater this year? You think that's creative? Yeah? Well, there's a dude somewhere with a Christmas sweater that could literally be melted down and turned into a crown, Andy. An actual crown.

According to Pitchfork, all proceeds from the sweater will go to charity which is a nice touch. (Hey, Andy, did you give to charity when you got that sweater? Or did you just say you gave to charity to impress Joanne in accounts? That's right, you were just trying to impress Joanne. Well, Joanne doesn't care, Andy. Not one bit.)

UPDATE: Somebody appears to have purchased the sweater already. There's a small chance that Martin Shkreli did this so that he can blackmail people into murdering small children or something. But if not, if the buyer is you and not Martin Shkreli, do get in touch via Twitter and let us know what you plan to do with your gaudy wares.
