Listen to a New Weezer Song, “Feels Like Summer,” Which Does Not Sound Like Summer, But Does Sound Weird

It’s from their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled 11th studio record.

It's currently freezing cold on the East Coast of America, though by rights it should be spring by now. Snow is cool though, I guess, even though you can't shake the feeling that we've done irreparable damage to the planet.

This is an appropriate metaphor for Weezer's new song, "Feels Like Summer," which neither feels nor sounds like summer, but is nice, on its own terms, if considered in a vacuum. It's a pop song from 2006, replete with a big, bratty "na na na" intro, a staccato piano verse, a Mickey Mouse Club pre-chorus, and a shit load of Rivers Cuomo's falsetto when it peaks.

It's going to get warm out any day now.
