The Nuart Festival kicks off today in Norway, summoning street artists from around the world to deck the walls of Stavanger with their freshest and most ambitious ideas. Last year French artists Ella and Pitr claimed to have made the "world's biggest mural" with a 70,000 ft2 behemoth called Olaf and Lillith. This year, artists like SPY, Axel Void, Eron, Fintan Magee, and Jaune will be dropping the gauntlet over the course of the next month, and wrapping up on October 16. While tonight is the official opening ceremony, a few artists have been on the job for a week, setting up sculptures and paintings all around the city. Here's a sneak peek the mural Mecca currently under construction.
